چکیده

Structural health monitoring (SHM) is an important aspect of the assessment various structures and infrastructure, which involves inspection, monitoring, maintenance to support economics, quality life sustainability in civil engineering. Currently, research has been conducted order develop non-destructive techniques for SHM extend lifespan monitored structures. This paper will review summarize recent advancements testing techniques, namely, sweep frequency approach, ground penetrating radar, infrared technique, fiber optics sensors, camera-based methods, laser scanner acoustic emission ultrasonic techniques. Although some are widely successfully utilized engineering, there still challenges that researchers addressing. One common within interpretation, analysis automation obtained data, requires highly skilled specialized experts. Therefore, investigating applying artificial intelligence, namely machine learning algorithms address challenges. In addition, have combined multiple improve accuracy acquire additional parameters enhance measurement processes. study mainly focuses on scope Non-destructive Testing (NDT) application concrete, masonry, timber steel

Time Reversal Techniques in Non Destructive Testing

The objective of this paper is to show that time-reversal invariance can be exploited in acoustics to create a variety of new methods in non-destructive testing. Two different approaches will be discussed. The first one is the iterative time reversal process. It is an adaptive technique that can be used to detect flaws in complex samples with arrays of transducers. A second technique will also ...

Wireless Monitoring Techniques for Structural Health Monitoring

Recently, a variety of wireless structural health monitoring systems have been demonstrated as viable substitutes for traditional high-cost tethered monitoring systems. In this study, a prototype wireless sensing system is deployed on the Voigt Bridge (La Jolla, CA) and a historical theatre (Detroit, MI) to validate its performance against cabled monitoring systems. Acceleration time history re...

Synthetic Focusing Aperture Techniques for Non-destructive Testing of Materials

Synthetic Aperture Focusing Technique imaging has became a popular tool in the field of non-destructive testing in the past years. The acquisition procedure consists in collecting the data after activating elements one by one. The reconstructed object is then computed by adding the contribution of each channel, selecting the proper time delay values. It is the principle of the well-known delay ...
